ABOUT DESERT WOLF PRODUCTIONS:

Desert Wolf Productions was founded by John Logan in 2012 to create film, television and theater projects.
Desert Wolf's first feature film GENIUS is currently in Theatres worldwide and they are currently in development on a Showtime limited series JUST KIDS, based on Patti Smith's National Book Award winning memoir.

JOHN LOGAN

John Logan received the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critic Circle and Drama League awards for his play Red. This play premiered at the Donmar Warehouse in London and at the Golden Theatre on Broadway. Since then Red has had more than 200 productions across the US and has been presented in over 30 countries. In 2013, his play Peter and Alice premiered in London and I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers opened on Broadway. He also co-wrote the book for the musical The Last Ship and is the author of more than a dozen other plays including Never the Sinner and Hauptmann. As a screenwriter, Logan has been three times nominated for the Oscar and has received a Golden Globe, BAFTA and WGA Award. His film work includes Skyfall, Spectre, Hugo, The Aviator, Gladiator, Rango, Genius, Coriolanus, Sweeney Todd, The Last Samurai, Any Given Sunday and RKO 281. He also created and produced the television series Penny Dreadful for Showtime.

JOAN BOORSTEIN

Joan Boorstein most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Creative Affairs Series Television for Showtime. While there, she supported showrunners and talent on series including; Brotherhood, The United States of Tara, Shameless and Penny Dreadful. She also worked on the non-fiction side of programming, supervising documentary series including: This American Life and The Years of Living Dangerously. Documentaries include; The World According to Dick Cheney and Listen to Me Marlon, which was listed for the short list for an Academy Award.Prior to working in television for Showtime, Joan served as Senior Vice President Creative Affairs Motion Pictures. In this position, she would oversee the development of two-hour Showtime films bringing quality writers and directors to the network. Joan has joined Desert Wolf Productions as a collaborative partner on the Showtime limited series, Just Kids, and is currently developing a new series The Nix, based on the bestselling novel by Nathan Hill.

JAMES J BAGLEY

James J. Bagley is President of Desert Wolf Productions with primary responsibility for its feature films and theatrical productions. He served as Executive Producer for DWP’s first feature film, Genius, based on the A. Scott Berg biography of Maxwell Perkins, adapted for the screen by John Logan, and featuring Colin Firth, Jude Law, Nicole Kidman and Laura Linney. He also produced the award-winning film, Cotton, written and directed by Marty Madden and featuring Gary Cole, Lusia Strus, Erik Scott Smith and Zoe Perry. As a theatrical producer, Bagley was a principal in Bagley/Perkins Productions (Chicago) which produced several plays including: The Wind in the Willows (a musical adaptation of the Kenneth Grahame book by playwright/composer Douglas Post); A Walk in the Woods by Lee Blessing (in association with Steppenwolf Theatre); and Bleacher Bums by Joe Mantgena (in association with Organic Theatre Company); and, as James Bagley Productions, was a producer of Never the Sinner by John Logan in London’s West End. Bagley has worked as an entertainment attorney, business and personal manager both in Chicago and Los Angeles. He is formerly General Counsel to Steppenwolf Theatre Company (Chicago) and the Chicago International Film Festival.

KATIE MEANS

Katie Means is the Executive Assistant at Desert Wolf Productions. Katie joined Desert Wolf after making a career change in 2014 from Retail Management to the Entertainment Industry. She served as an Associate Producer for the USC Senior Thesis Film The First Rain as well as a Production Assistant on several other titles.

COLIN LIDDLE

Colin Liddle is the Writer’s Assistant at Desert Wolf Productions. In 2013, he moved to Los Angeles from Salt Lake City, Utah to pursue a career in screenwriting. He wrote script coverage for Rumble Films and Josephson Entertainment before joining Desert Wolf in 2015.
